Mindfump and Things Dre Makes are running a project for Mental Health Awareness Month in which you personify an emotion. This is my submission:
I imagine my inner critic to be a drill sergeant always yelling in my ear about how nothing I do is good enough. Everything needs to be perfect. I blame my inner critic for my social anxiety. I’m learning to not listen to him and speak up for myself. He doesn’t need to control everything. I messed up on my picture and my inner critic would have redrew it until it was perfect, but I’m being a rebel.
